
Educational Excursion – Kerala ‘GOD’s OWN COUNTRY’
SFS Delhi, organised an adventurous trip to Kerala for the students of classes VIII & XII from 19th May to 22nd May 2025. The trip aimed to offer thrilling and exhilarating entertainment, providing a sensory experience in the lap of God’s own country.
Cochin Sightseeing: The journey began in the culturally rich city of Cochin, where students visited the historic Mattancherry Palace, the vibrant Jewish Synagogue, Jewish Street, and Marine Drive.
Students witnessed the use of Chinese Fishing Nets. A special highlight was the exciting ride on the modern and eco-friendly Cochin Water Metro, giving students a glimpse of Kerala’s innovative transport system over its scenic waterways.
Vagamon Adventure: From the coast to the hills, the group travelled to the serene landscapes of Vagamon. Here, students were awestruck and thrilled to walk across the stunning Glass Bridge, soaking in panoramic views of the valleys below.
Thekkady Boating: In Thekkady, students enjoyed a peaceful boating experience on the Periyar Lake, surrounded by the dense greenery of the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary.
Alleppey Backwater Experience: The tour concluded in Alleppey, where students embarked on a relaxing and scenic houseboat cruise through the famed backwaters. Onboard, they were treated to a sumptuous Kerala meal including Karimeen Pollichathu (pearl spot fish), coconut chutneys, and Payasam for dessert. Adding a thrill to the experience, students also enjoyed an exhilarating speed boat ride.
This tour offered students a holistic experience—combining history, adventure, nature, local traditions, and culinary experience.
